Dislocations series:
Dislocations are calculated shifts of location and point of view to
reflect a world out of joint. Most of the time we are so sure of our
surroundings, ourselves and who we are, we forget things are never as
they seem. These works are created by combining individual photographs
into diptychs, quadruplets or larger to show ideas about places and
situations in ways not possible with a single photograph. The transforming
power lies in the use of form to bring attention to our changing world
and to show contrasting values in what we sometimes call progress.
